After the successful refresh of the iPhone and Android apps, we updated the Latest News feed on iPad. The challenge of this project was to design an iPad feed which should be populated with the iPhone feed. The solution we designed was a single-column feed, which is able to adapt to all screen sizes. With this visually enhanced feed, the WSJ members can enjoy world-class photograpy, like on no other device.

News Card System

The iPad single-column feed enhances the sense of hierarchy and helps reading linearly. Little variations in the feed enrich the reading experience, like the side-by-side cards layout, an automatic variation which is rendered when the system detects two consecutive and equal cards.
